Overview
Recent findings detail the model’s performance across three key layers: the trade network, transport network, and port supply chain. Each layer is elaborated in Supplementary Figure 1. The trade network layer highlights the global modal output, emphasizing intricate relationships and challenges in international trade. Meanwhile, the transport network layer examines efficiencies and bottlenecks affecting logistics and freight movement. Finally, the port supply chain layer evaluates the interplay between port operations and supply chain dynamics, shedding light on potential improvements. Collectively, these insights provide a comprehensive understanding of the interconnected systems that underpin global commerce, revealing areas for optimization and growth.
