Minmetals Resources will buy Melbourne-based Minerals & Metals Group from Minmetals’ state-owned parent for US$1.85 billion, part of a plan to transform itself from a trader in nonferrous metals and manufacturer of aluminum and copper products into an international base-metals producer.
